Lets train!

First of all Who are we?

Goal

Groupe Nordik aims to move beyond Showaufguss and “tricks” by reinforcing the theoretical and technical foundations of Aufguss, specifically heat dynamics, safety, and aroma distribution. The organization seeks to elevate the guest experience across its three Canadian locations by mastering the balance between strong basic waving techniques and well-timed, impactful performance moments, packed together in a well structured thematic aufguss session.

How we aim to achieve this

Using core lessons focussed on structure of an thematic aufguss, aroma elements and aroma combination assignments. we provide core knowledge about how to make choices based on your aufguss goal. We pair this with waving lessons focussed on basics & adding transitions to make everything flow, lastly we showcase how to use these elements in the cabin and how to pair music and waving to create more grounded ‘wow’ moments.

after these workshop days we invite participants to showcase their creations, this builds on top of their creativity and shows them how to create more of their own thematic shows. The resort will end up with new thematic rituals your artisans have created themselves, a moment for them to share their passion with your guests.

  • Theory: heat dynamics, structure of an thematic aufguss session
  • How to: use natural infusions
  • How to: combine aromas (both infusions & essential oils)
  • How to: bring all this together to create a ritual and use storytelling to increase the experience
  • How to: move throughout the cabin
  • Waving: basics & transitions
  • Waving: using the music to create your rhythm

all how-to lessons have an creative assignment, this pairs theory with practise.

Nordik Group Course structure

This structure is adapted per resort, where Chelsea and Winnipeg receive the same course and Chelsea will get a slightly modified version where we provide prework in the form of a digital essential oils touch-up. All participants receive 2 months of free access to our full digital waving platform.

Digital Pre-work

  • Waving lessons
  • Essential oils Recap
  • Start of aufguss assignment, brainstorm theme & music

We will provide access to our digital waving lessons so people can prepare with some of the basics. Our video module currently hosts less showmoves and move basic/advanced, where we focus more on transitions and body movement than quick spins or throws.

We will also provide an essential oils digital course of (1 hr) to recap knowledge you already know and we will use in this workshop.

And we will share a short video on showdesign to explain the assignment and give them time to prepare a theme and some music.

Results

Core waving skills, but most importantly your artisans will know more about how to create their own, use their passion, skill and knowledge to create a thematic aufguss ritual that works. They will be more confident to use storytelling and add to that sensation. When we leave you will have a different session for every participant which they can perform, but they can also share amongst each other.

This will set you up for that transition back to the core of aufguss, reserve the showaufguss sessions for special events and build a core offering that impresses without all the ‘extra’.
