From Passion to Glory: Our “Hide & Seek” World Championship Victory

Being at the Aufguss World Championships, we experienced something surreal. Competing among the best in the world, we gave everything we had to our “Hide & Seek” aufguss show—and then it happened. We won. We are World Champions!

A Victory That Felt Bigger Than Us

What made this win so special wasn’t just the title, but the way everyone around us lifted us up. Fellow competitors, judges, the audience—there was this shared energy, a kind of collective encouragement that you don’t always find in competitions. It felt like the entire aufguss family wanted us to win just as much as we did. That kind of support? Unreal.

Sharing This Moment With My Best Friend

Winning is one thing. Winning alongside your best friend? That’s something else entirely. From the very first brainstorming session to the final performance, Whitney and I have been in this together. We’ve pushed each other, stressed together, laughed until we cried, and made something we’re incredibly proud of. And now, we share this title. It just doesn’t get better than that.

The Story Behind “Hide & Seek”

We didn’t just perform aufguss; we told a story. “Hide & Seek” wasn’t about tricks or fancy moves—it was about creating an experience. Two little girls, a mysterious house, a flickering lantern, and an eerie presence that changes everything. Every moment, every movement, every heat wave was made to pull the audience in. And in that sauna, for those 15 minutes, we all lived in that world together.

The Power of the Aufguss Community

Throughout the championship, we saw so many mind-blowing performances. The level of creativity and skill was next level, and that made our win feel even more unreal. To stand among so many talented artists, to witness their work, and then to earn the title—it’s an honor that’s hard to put into words. This wasn’t just our moment; it was a celebration of what aufguss is all about.
