A Weekend of Show Aufguss Magic at Thermen Tamina

From October 14th 2022, we set off on an adventure to the breathtaking sanctuary of Thermen Tamina in Bad Ragaz Switserland. Our mission? To introduce the Swiss to the world of show aufguss, a theatrical twist on the traditional sauna experience. Together with three talented aufgussmasters from the Netherlands, we were ready to spark some sauna magic in a country where this art form is still a little unknown.

Unleashing Creativity in the Kelo Sauna

Nestled within the mountainous landscape of Thermen Tamina lies their iconic Kelo sauna – a masterpiece of wood and warmth, perfect for creating unforgettable moments. Each of us brought our unique style to the stage, blending modern classics with show aufguss performances. It wasn’t just about waving towels; it was about storytelling, emotion, and a touch of theatrical flair.

But the true magic happened when collaboration took center stage. I teamed up with aufguss master Tabea Böhli, a local talent from Thermen Tamina. Together, we engaged in a freestyle battle – an improvised dance of heat and harmony. It was spontaneous, electric, and unforgettable. The guests were excited, their faces showing the joy and wonder of this improvised show.

A Farewell with the Pirts Ritual

Just when we thought the weekend couldn’t get any more magical, the Tamina Thermen aufgussteam surprised us with a pirts ritual. If you’ve never heard of it, imagine a spiritual sauna journey that goes beyond relaxation – it’s about connection and emotional release.

Led by a passionate host whose words painted pictures of tradition and meaning, we were guided through this Lithuanian ritual. The atmosphere was thick with emotion, and by the end, we were left speechless, moved by the power of this shared experience. It was the perfect way to conclude our adventure.
